Wooden Shjips “Wooden Shjips” (Holy Mountain) Minimal, ultra locked-in post Neu hypno rhythm section (not a fill or flourish for miles & miles) with one finger organ lines, acid soaked, echo drenched vox, then RRRWWWWSSSSHSHHHHHHHHH – screaming, blaring guitar rips a gaping hole though the center of the tapestry, creating a gateway into the realms of bliss. So juxtapose the post Kraut rhythms/structures, post psych guitar mayhem (& the guitar solos in particular are off the charts), maybe throw in a little vintage retro psych (eg Spacemen 3, Loop), & do it right, & that will get you in the general vicinity of Wooden Shjips here.
